Ad-Hoc jobs are open to everyone, but in a first come first serve manner, and rank isn't a saving factor here. So, if a new hire takes the job before a Captain, the captain is SOL.
If you see a job you would like to fly and your plane is capable of hauling that many passengers or cargo and can land where it is designated...(IE A job that starts on a water runway would be pretty difficult for a wheeled Caravan to complete...), reply to the thread saying you are taking the job. Staff will then modify the post so the title says something like IN PROGRESS next to the job's title. Then open FSX, fly the job, and post your PIREP generated by FSP.
The job will then be removed from the board and a new one will be generated.
If two pilots try to take the job, the pilot who posted first will be given the job to take. If for some reason the original winner of the job is unable to complete it, he/she should post in the job's thread and state that it is open again. It will then go to the next person in line if someone else posted, or it will be open until someone else posts for it.
